A Clinical study of Transaminase Activity on Several Biliary Diseases

Abstract
|

|
For one years´ from June 1973 to May 1974, observation had been made to 184 patients among inpatients and out-patients at Busan University Hospital, who were definitely diagnosed as having several liver and biliary diaseses through clinical findings, laboratory determination and biopsy to find tdie.changes of transaminac activity and serum bilirubin titer examined by liver and biliary diseases also analysis of GPT process in acute hepatitis andcame to the conclusion as follows:
1. It was no significant values to make differential diagnosis under above mentioned criteria during first 3 days treatment.
2. The most characteristics of dynamics of initially elevated transaminase activity and bilirubin level was rapid and contineous decrease after 3 days treatment.
3. The maximum GPT and GOT titers in acute hepatitis were 970 unit .and 900 unit respectively. When GPT and GOT was 1, it was 74%.
4. The results of GPT titer process in patients of acute hepatitis showed remarkable increase in the first 14 days, but after that it decreased to be normal by degrees in 3 weeks earlist ann 4 or 8 weeks latest.
